Quiet village
Lovely one bed bungalow, in lovely village. Ideal for couple and a dog. Beadnell beach is beautiful as is the walk to Seahouses. Highlight for me was my walk up the Cheviot from the Harthope valley. We will be back to Northumberland as soon as we can

What a fantastic cottage, ideal for 2. Beautifully presented with everything you could need for a home away from home. Very comfortable and well situated for the beach, pub and local shop. Well worth a stay.

A great little cottage. It had everything we needed and more. Umbrellas for sun and rain, seating for eating outside. Laundry basket for your dirty clothes , washing machine and pegs and washing line. Every home comfort including bath sheet size towels which you often don’t get.
Games, books, dvds, modern easy to use tv.
A quiet location with a nearby shop for essentials. 2 beach places for food. A lively pub.
Perfect location for walking to Seahouses, Bamburgh, Low Newton and Craster. Only used the car once.

Had a really good week staying in the cottage had everything we needed bed was comfortable, we had a nice walk down to the beach most nights and visited just about all the National Trust places, as we are members, .If we decide to go that way again we would try to get the cottage.

Perfect!! Bungalow was spotless. Kitchen well equipped. Bed comfy. Garden was great for our dogs. Location perfect for exploring surrounding areas. The beach at Beadnell is beautiful and great for long dog walks. Host very helpful. Will definitely return.

Rock pool was a small, comfortable and clean bungalow. It's situation was ideal for walking to the beach and travelling around the Northumerland coast.

Rockpool cottage was perfect for our stay. Everything we needed and more. A cosy home in a great central location. It was lovely to read in the guest book that suggestions were implemented. Eg. Egg cups, towel rail, improved TV etc. This shows that an interest had been taken in the holiday makers experience and enjoyment. Biscuits, tea and milk on arrival was perfect for instant refreshments. Also the envelope of vouchers was a great touch. Thank you.

Extremly happy with Rockpool Cottage in Beadnell. Cottage was clean, had all facilities needed and is well located. Third time of staying . Will return in future.

The cottage was delightful. We were so comfortable there, nice bed & sofa . It had everything we needed & more. It was so clean. It's compact but this was fine. The little garden was ideal as we took our dog & she enjoyed that. Excellent location for travelling around, very close to the local beach and village which are so lovely. We would definitely visit again, thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.

The house was small but perfectly formed. All cleaning materials, towels and bed linen were included and we had milk and biscuits awaiting our arrival too - a lovely touch, thank you. We also had an envelope of money off vouchers for nearby attractions - which we made good use of.
It’s a great base for exploring the area. I’d definitely recommend the accommodation.
I’ve been to Beadnell many times before - the village has everything you could wish for: shop, pubs, restaurants, white sandy beaches, rocky beaches and a harbour too - a fantastic place and an ideal place to stay for discovering the surrounding areas including Alnwick, Alnmouth, Bamburgh, Cragside, Amble and much more.

The only fly in the ointment was I found the bathroom heater inadequate for winter. However apart from that the cottage was clean, warm and very well equipped, with a good and clear folder of how to work the heating ect plus up to date bus timetables and tides. Tho as I'm inept at working modern TV's I had to contact the owners to give me blow by blow instructions of how to play a DVD on their system - they were extremely helpful. I also recieved a really helpful text message from them on my journey up to say that the cottage was ready earlier than planned and to warn me of the icy conditions then there, which meant I retimed my journey, arrived earlier and managed to get in a short walk before it got too dark. There was also a lovely welcome surprise of a milk and chocolates. There are some lovely walks around the village, and further onto the coastal path and is very well located for trips further afield. I will go back there again and recommend it to friends.
OWNER COMMENT - Thanks for your comments. Just to let you know we are about to replace the heating in the Bathroom with a Large Heated Towel rail with thermostatic control like the heating in the lounge. We are also having an extra radiator fitted into the lounge to enable the heating to warm up quicker.

The cottage was snug, warm and clean. It had more than enough cutlery, pots, pans, bottle openers, towels, dog bowls etc to be fully equipped. Good folder on the area and what to do or where to go. Also the front garden was well fenced for the dog to run out in. Plus the lovely biscuits and milk left for us was a nice touch. We had a great 5 days there will book again.

We had a lovely week at Rockpool Cottage, it had everything we needed and was like a little home from home. We had to contact the owner for some info regarding the heating as we didn't want to do any damage to the system. He was very pleasant and we sorted it over the phone in a couple of minutes - job sorted. Situated on a little row of similar little cottages in a quiet area of Beadnell. It is ideally placed for visiting places of interest, such as Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands, Bamburgh, birthplace of Grace Darling and the magnificant Bamburgh Castle, Craster for it's famous kippers and Crab sandwiches, beautiful little Low Newton by the Sea, Holy Island but be sure to check the crossing times info in the cottage holiday guide, and many many other places. Our little dog Tilly appreciated the garden and was so tired after nice walks and running free on the many beaches, she slept like a log. We would definitely go back to Rockpool Cottage again as it had everything we needed for a leisurely chilled out holiday and its situation allowed us easy access to places in the surrounding area.

An excellent location for exploring the coast of Northumberland and being near to Seahouses and the Farne Islands. Would have helped to know where the car parking space was just down the road. The place was very comfortable and clean with good information for our stay.

This cottage is excellent value for money. It is well equipped, comfortable and is close to all the essential amenities pub, shop and beach. The village is a pleasant walk to seahouses. For the more serious walkers you can walk to Bamburgh or Low Newton. It is an excellent base to travel by car or on foot.

Rockpool Cottage is in a fabulous location, peaceful yet close to the beach. Owners had provided everything you need for a relaxing, enjoyable break including free Wi-Fi great if you need to be on line, as we did. Pet friendly cottage too - just ideal. Will definitely re-book in the future.
